British Dressage (BD) is the national governing body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of dressage. With over 17,500 members, BD aims to be the most respected and successful organisation for people passionate about dressage.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the head office team as Senior Marketing Officer, based at our offices in Meriden, West Midlands.

The Senior Marketing Officer is responsible for leading the marketing and promotion of British Dressage, covering membership, sponsorship, events, merchandise, clothing and other associated commercial activities. This includes the creation of innovative marketing campaigns and associated promotional plans, as well as developing a range of promotional literature, producing marketing toolkits and other supporting collateral to drive our commercial revenue and support our stakeholder partners. In addition, this individual is primarily responsible for developing an effective digital marketing strategy through all available on-line and social media channels, as well as creating effective design and artwork for all print and online marketing campaigns.

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and proactive marketing professional with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • With excellent copy writing and proof-reading skills
  • Alongside a strong sense of design with a flair for creativity and innovation.
  • You will also be highly organised, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise your workload and meet tight deadlines
  • An effective team player, you will be equally adept at working independently and a highly motivated self-starter

The successful candidate will have a proven track record across both traditional and digital media, with a broad range of marketing skills and knowledge. A genuine interest and understanding of equestrianism in general, and dressage in particular, would be advantageous for this role, but is not essential.

Due to the nature of our sport a flexible approach to working, including some weekends and evenings, is required. You must also have a full, clean driving license and be prepared to travel as necessary.  For more information, including a full job description, please visit www.britishdressage.co.uk.
