HEROS Charity is based on the West Berkshire/Oxfordshire border at North Farm Stud near Wantage. HEROS re-home and re-train thoroughbred ex-racehorses and provide education and training for learners of all ages wanting to work in racing and/or with equines in other settings. The role of Senior Tutor is an exciting and rewarding opportunity funded by The Racing Foundation to work at HEROS Charity as a key member of our education programme team.
The HEROS education programme is now in is second year having run the pilot last year we are ready to expand. Our programme integrates classroom teaching with real-life work experience in racing yards and studs.
West Oxfordshire Council, Berkshire, Reading and Wiltshire Councils have approved HEROS as a provider of flexible learning. In addition, `Alternative-to-School’ placements for 14-16yr olds are now available.
We are looking for someone with a `can do’ attitude; a dedicated team player with a sense of humour and a strong commitment to making a difference for a diverse range of learners
Salary will be based on age and experience but ideally will be in the range £25-£30k.
