Location: Hybrid role: The Pony Club office in Warwick with agreed home-working

Job Type: Full Time – 35 hours per week

Salary: Competitive salary plus generous pension and health insurance

The Pony Club is the world’s largest equestrian youth organisation and the fourth biggest youth movement in the UK with over 32,000 members. It is an exciting time for The Pony Club as we look towards another challenging and exciting year of our five year strategy. To help deliver these exciting challenges The Pony Club is seeking a new member of the Development Team.

The Sports Development Officer will be responsible for supporting three sports committees, working together to develop the participation pathway and member experience. The wider opportunities sees this role impacting change across all four pillars of the strategic plan and reinforce our Charitable purpose.

Role Responsibility:

  • Strategically coordinate and support the growth and development of the sports.
  • Support the delivery of Health and Safety objectives.
  • Support the delivery of both externally and internally funded projects as appropriate.
  • Support the development of the volunteer workforce including coaches, instructors, officials and young leaders.
  • Share best practice and the range of opportunities across the Membership Pathway.
  • Promote compliance with The Pony Club health and safety policies.
  • Actively promote and encourage the ideals of the minimum operating standards for Safeguarding.
  • Ensure an integrated approach across the Pony Club Branches and Centres, alongside key partners from across the Equestrian, Health, Education and Community and Voluntary sectors.
  • Support the delivery of all projects across the Development Team.
