Store Manager

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead our large Saddlery store in Kent. You will be responsible for our Saddlery team and be expected to take on responsibility for the daily management of the store. The Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring that an exceptional level of customer service is maintained. 

Location: Speedgate Farm, Fawkham, Longfield, Kent DA3 8NJ.

The job is a Full-time role based on approximately 40 hours per week. Days and hours will be discussed during interview but will include a weekend day.

The successful candidate will ideally have – 

• Previously worked in a customer facing retail business, ideally in the equestrian/saddlery sector, with at least 3 years in a management role

• Excellent customer service skills, together with good leadership skills and the ability to recruit, train, develop and maintain a motivated sales team

• Good interpersonal skills in order to converse with both customers and staff face-to-face as well as by telephone

• A flexible approach to working as they will be required to assist in other areas of the business during busy periods or during staff absence

• Managing a team of people and ensuring high standards are achieved by all

• Understanding products to a good standard in order to advise and guide members of the team as well as customers

• Managing rotas and organising cover

• Growing sales through a motivated and customer focused approach

• Coordinating in-store events with the Commercial Team

• Taking on responsibility for the training and professional development of staff

• Organising and overseeing the timely completion of operational tasks

• Taking responsibility for the implementation of Health & Safety procedures within the store
