D J Murphy is a small, family-owned publishing house with a vacancy for someone to join our highly motivated team working on market-leading equestrian magazines, PONY and Horse&Rider.

We have an exciting opportunity in our equestrian editorial team to play a key role in managing the editorial content flow.

You will have demonstrable experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines, and will be responsible for progressing material from raw state to print- or digitial-ready pieces. Of course, you’ll have excellent computer skills, perfect English, be highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines. The right candidate will also be a confident writer and have impeccable attention to detail, as well as exceptional communication and time management skills.

Skills and qualifications:

• Managing content from contributors, including researching experts, commissioning and chasing copy, and managing the approvals process
• Reading and editing copy across the equestrian portfolio, ensuring it is factually correct and in keeping with house style and tone
• Rewriting to meet the needs of the brand audiences
• Picture sourcing and research

This is a full-time, permanent, position based at our offices in Farnham, Surrey, benefitting from flexible hours and blended working. Candidates must have a full driving licence.
