An exciting opportunity to join an expanding team to introduce a range of niche, highly proven equine nutrition and healthcare products to the UK market. A national role with focus on the main Thoroughbred areas of Newmarket, Lambourn, Malton and Middleham.

Ark Animal Care, established in 1987, is a farm animal & equine focused company based in County Kildare, Ireland. Ark develops and markets products that help address the most common health issues in horses and farm animals.

Reporting to the Equine Nutritional Manager the Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for growing sales in line with agreed targets through the development of excellent customer relationships.

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual who has drive and business acumen, is willing to take on a new challenge in a competitive marketplace and be ambitious to pursue a career in sales and support.

The ideal candidate should have a degree level qualification or equivalent ideally in an equine or animal science related discipline. Previous sales experience highly desirable but not essential.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • An excellent working knowledge of the Thoroughbred and Sport Horse industries
  • An ability to work alone, as well as part of a team
  • Computer Literate with good knowledge of Excel, Word, Office, Outlook.
  • Ability to organise and manage their time effectively
  • A friendly, confident and professional manner when dealing with customers
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • An interest in equine nutrition and healthcare
  • A full, clean driving licence

We offer an excellent remuneration package including company car, IT equipment and performance related bonus to the successful candidate. Overnight stays away from home and attendance at weekend exhibitions will be occasionally required.
