An exciting opportunity to join the newly launched ARKequine to introduce a range of niche, highly proven equine nutrition and healthcare products to the UK market. A national role with focus on the main Thoroughbred areas of Newmarket, Lambourn, Malton, and Middleham.

Encompassing both high-quality, veterinary formulated nutritional products, along with hygiene solutions for optimum health, welfare, and performance.  It offers a complete service including expert advice, support, education, and excellent customer service.

Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Equine Nutritional Manager (based in Ireland) the Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for growing sales directly to the end user, within the UK, in line with agreed targets through the development of excellent customer relationships.

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual who has drive and business acumen, is willing to take on a new challenge in a competitive marketplace, and be ambitious to pursue a career in sales and support.

The ideal candidate should have a degree-level qualification or equivalent ideally in an equine or animal science-related discipline. Previous sales experience is highly desirable as the role also includes an element of business development.

Overnight stays away from home and attendance at weekend exhibitions will be occasionally required.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • An excellent working knowledge of the Thoroughbred and Sport Horse industries
  • An understanding of both the Thoroughbred and Sport Horse breeding industries
  • An ability to work alone, as well as part of a team
  • Computer Literate with good knowledge of Excel, Word, Office, Outlook.
  • Ability to organise and manage their time efficiently
  • A friendly, confident and professional manner when dealing with customers
  • Willing to work away from home on occasions
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • An interest in equine nutrition and healthcare
  • A full, clean driving license
     

We offer an excellent remuneration package including full comprehensive training, company car, IT equipment, and performance-related bonuses to the successful candidate. Overnight stays away from home and attendance at weekend exhibitions will be occasionally required.
