 Horse Health Ltd, owners of the LeMieux, one of the fastest developing equestrian brands, are expanding their manufacturing & wholesale operation supplying high quality products to the equestrian market all over tahe world.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trade Sales Manager to be based at our offices in Wellow, Romsey, Hampshire

This is an extremely busy, fast paced and varied role. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage customers at all levels and be a real team player, capable of managing and supporting a small team and flexible enough to assist with the day to day trade sales administration. Although a passion for equine products and the equestrian industry would be an advantage it is not essential and a background in country sports or leisure would benefit.

 Reporting directly to the Directors, this role will involve:

  • Managing trade and distributor customer accounts with a genuine interest in supporting and developing their growth.
  • Regular proactive communication and after sales service / follow ups – particularly international accounts.
  • Rapport building (CRM) with existing and potential customers.
  • Identifying opportunities for promotion and growth.
  • Liaison with customers on a day to day basis.
  • Oversee distribution of PR/Marketing materials / POS etc. to stockists.
  • Dealing with on-going enquiries from all customers, throughout the world by telephone and email
  • Close liaison with sales reps, administrative team, warehouse/despatch team, product development and designers.
  • Oversee preparation for and attend trade exhibition events in the UK and Europe.
  • Opportunity to visit stockists and distributors abroad.
  • Manage field sales representatives and agents in the UK and abroad.
  • Manage small team of dedicated trade admin staff.
  • Support administrative team with general admin, order processing, back order allocation etc.
  • Ensure a continuous and sufficient flow of orders to packing teams and ensure daily order processing targets are met.
  • Maintain CRM / database of trade customers (UK & International).

 The successful candidate will:

  • A proven ability to manage customers at all levels.
  • Be capable of managing and supporting a small team and flexible enough to assist with the day to day sales office administration where/and if necessary.
  • Monitor customer backorders and assist with management.
  • Be numeracy and IT proficient as you will need to adapt to and utilise in-house ERP / CRM / Accounts systems. You will be involved with client and stock management reporting and development. Able to use Microsoft Office, particularly Word / Excel.
  • Second Languages, of any proficiency, particularly French and German a considerable advantage.
  • Face to face sales experience beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
