UK and International Sales/Business Development – Animal Nutrition 

Calinnova Ltd

Nailsworth, Gloucestershire

Calinnova Ltd designs, manufactures and sells products within the UK and overseas under the brands of EquiFeast, The Birdcare Company, DrS and CROCdoc. 

This is your chance to join our telephone sales and business development team to help drive the business forwards into the future. You will need good customer skills and prior experience of customer advising, telephone sales, social media and website promotional activity in particular.

Whilst involved with all animal sectors and all brands, your equestrian background will be of great value with the EquiFeast range which focusses on UK, Australian and USA/Canada sales. 

In this diverse role you will:

  • Provide quality customer advice by telephone, email, Facebook and sometimes face-to-face
  • Maximise sales opportunities including up-selling and cross-selling, within the UK and export markets.
  • Provide quality customer care and problem resolution services
  • Assist with online promotion campaigns primarily via Facebook and Google
  • Help maintain and upgrade our website content
  • Support our sponsored rider, e-newsletter and blog posts programmes
  • Provide administrative support regarding all such functions, from taking orders and raising invoices, to scheduling repeat social media campaigns and customs paperwork.
  • Be involved in a range of other activities depending on your personal skill set, from developing artwork to producing spreadsheets for planning and monitoring activities, to writing online product content or e-newsletters, or assisting with occasional external or internally-held events. 

We are looking for the following skills, experience and educational qualifications:

  • A sales and customer oriented person, with good people skills who is organised yet flexible with the drive to make a difference
  • Several years prior sales, promotion and administration experience
  • An interest in nutrition, biology and animals in general
  • Good organisation and planning skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills; Microsoft and Sage experience
  • A working understanding of equestrianism; in particular dressage, show jumping, eventing. 

Naturally in-house training will be provided on our product range, building on your existing knowledge base. You will also be appropriately trained in our customer ethos and promotion activities we implement around the world.

Calinnova formulates and manufactures its well-respected range of nutritional supplements and feeds in Nailsworth, with sales throughout the UK and to selected overseas markets. 

EquiFeast predominantly sells into three main markets, the UK, Australia and USA/Canada.

The Birdcare Company, launched in 1994, has significant sales in the UK, EU and North America, with additional scattered markets from Singapore and Indonesia, to Japan.
