VAT Finaliser

Salary: £18,000 per annum 

Weatherbys Bank are looking to recruit a Finaliser to work within their VAT department. This role is responsible for ensuring that all VAT returns are verified, completed and submitted to HMRC in line with set deadlines. The role also holds responsibility for all the administration aspects of the VRS area including, dealing with all customer enquiries by telephone or written within 24 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all VAT returns are verified, collated and submitted to HMRC by the given deadline.
• To safeguard that all VAT returns over £10,000 are prepared, verified and checked prior to submission to HMRC.
• Deal with all queries relating to the VAT returns ensuring they are resolved prior to submission.
• Arrange regular meetings to discuss processes and workloads.
• Ensure that all correspondence is completed within 24 hours of receipt.

The ideal candidate will possess strong numeracy and organisational skills. The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team is essential. You should have excellent communication skills, the ability to work efficiently and accurately, whilst working under pressure is crucial to meet our clients needs. Experience within a financial background would be beneficial for this role that is based within our Wellingborough office.
